You are a fan of haggis, neeps and tatties but not a whisky lover - here is a gin based sauce recipe that you will love.
McQueen Smokey Chilli Gin makes a different sauce for your haggis
Smokey Chill Gin Sauce
Serves 4
Ingredients1 tbsp butter
50g chopped shallot
100g button mushrooms sliced
1 tsp smoked paprika
30ml McQueen Smokey Chilli Gin
200ml beef stock
4 tbsp soured cream
Heat the butter in a pan, add the shallots and cook on a low heat for 10 minutes.
Add the garlic and mushrooms, increase the heat and fry until any liquid has evaporated.
Add the paprika and cook for a further minute.
Add the gin and beef stock, cook on a heat to reduce by half.
Take off the heat and stir in the sour cream, serve immediately over cooked haggis.
