Oh January, every year you bring cold weather, blue moods, and a slightly stronger relationship with gravity. For many, it is a month that means trudging back to work, a little heavier and wider than before the festive feasting, wondering how long this year’s resolution will last.
But not at McQueen! While we are far from the overly-perky #NewYearNewMe crowd clogging up your social newsfeed at this time of year (although we did a cheeky post ourselves), we also couldn’t wait to get back to work.
After a fantastic 2018 (thanks again, everyone), we know that 2019 is going to be even bigger here at McQueen. So, if you feel like you are staring down the barrel of another long year, know that we are hard at work to make more of that magical liquid (we mean gin) that will make your 2019 great, or at least more tolerable! Here’s a taster of some of what we have in store.
2019 is going to be BIG
Those of you who have been tracking our #DistilleryWatch posts on social media will know just how close our big expansion is to being complete. And when we say big, we mean BIG! Once up and running, our distillery will have an increased capacity of 2000%. Just, wow. Come and see it for yourself when it’s done, there will be plenty room for extra tours when our doors open.
Naturally our wee still, ‘Little Maggie’, would be quite lonely in these big new digs, so we’re hooking her up with some company. ‘Big Doogy’ (4 x bigger) is on his way and we (especially Maggie) can’t wait to meet him. He’ll be a hard worker no doubt, not only helping us make the most of our new capacity but also to launch even more unique and exciting flavour profiles in 2019. And who knows, maybe we’ll add something even more adventurous to the McQueen line-up!
Last but not least, we can confirm that we do have something else that’s BIG on the way in 2019. But there is a long year ahead, and it wouldn’t be our style to give you all the details right away… So, we’ll keep this one bottled up for now.
Final thought as we head into the new year; if January is making you blue, add some tonic and watch the blue feeling disappear. It works for our Forest Fruits Gin.
