With the COVID-19 outbreak, there was a national shortage of hand sanitiser, we at McQueen just wanted to do our little part in aiding the community in these testing times.
We started to produce sanitiser and took the conscious decisions not to sell it to anyone, this was a donation to the community, and we felt that in times like these no one should be profiteering from those just trying to do their part and keep the country going.
We donated to the following but not limited to:
This could not have been achieved without the help of Orkney Distillery who kindly donated hydrogen peroxide to us. Showcasing how in a time of adversity, we do find the strength within the gin community.
On top of this, we collaborated with the Callander community trust in distributing the sanitiser to minimise the risk of spreading the infection to the distillery.
In total, we produced over 500 litres of sanitiser and are now making it on request due to a fall in demand and requirement.
