A world we love being a part of!
The only thing that is consistent about the spirits industry, is that everything is always changing. This is true of our beloved gin in particular, with adaptations in crafting and botanicals, but it also extends into gin drinkers themselves. A product that changes its market, and a market that changes the product. Both have influence over the other, and neither sit still.
While traditionalist types of gin drinker remain, and hopefully always will, the introduction to market of innovative gin styles, flavours, and strengths, has seen new and adventurous gin fans emerging in great numbers – and we, for one, are all for it.
A marked rise in the popularity of gin cocktails is also helping to grow the market, as people who ‘don’t like gin’ discover that while a classic Dry Gin & Tonic is not to their taste, there are many more gins, and ways to prepare them, which they find delicious and enjoyable (you may be shocked to hear that we are all for this).
McQueen: A range of gin for all
At McQueen, we are passionate about the future of gin and strive to distil true craft spirits for all types of gin drinker; something we feel is key to thriving in the ever-evolving world of gin.
While our ambition to satisfy a broad spectrum of gin drinkers without sacrificing the quality of any one product may seem grand, it is one we have managed to achieve through years of development and innovation. Today we offer a range of McQueen Gin which caters to seasoned traditionalists, modern enthusiasts, and even those who didn’t know they liked gin before McQueen.
Traditionalists
It is important to everyone at McQueen Gin that there is no doubt as to our quality of craft and respect for the heritage of gin distilling. Our multi award-winning McQueen Super Premium Dry Gin stands as testament to this. Gin traditionalists need look no further for a pure craft spirit for a beautifully balanced G&T.
Adventurists
Doing away with perceptions of what was considered gin and who was considered a gin drinker, these adventurous enthusiasts are always looking for the next thing in gin, but like traditionalists, still appreciate quality of craft.
At McQueen, we are equally excited about both the future and quality of gin. This can be seen in unique artisan spirits such as our Mocha and Smokey Chilli gins, ensuring forward-focussed gin drinkers never have long to wait for something new to discover and discuss.
Stirrers and Shakers
Cocktails have emerged as a key route into gin drinking for many people who might have previously claimed to dislike it. At McQueen, our broad range of distilled flavour gins creates near endless possibilities for those new to gin to find their very own perfect serve, and for the more experienced among us to add a new dimension to our favourite spirit.
For those in need of a little guidance or inspiration, we launched our #FridayCocktails campaign; helping McQueen fans find the perfect balance of flavours to complement each of our gins.
Emerging Trends
For some, gin is simply all about enjoying the latest trends and having fun. This has made a forward focus crucial, providing the foresight needed to distil a pure spirit in time to meet the latest emerging trends. We want to capture the excitement of the moment, while ensuring quality of craft remains our number one priority.
On-trend products including our Forest Fruits Colour-changing Gin (which even went viral on social media!) and our new Raspberry and Cranberry Pink Gin, simply would not have been successful if the theatre of their appearance had been followed with a bitter after-taste.
BeGINners
Where to begin all comes down to personal taste. That said, many have found that McQueen Sweet Citrus Gin is an excellent place to start, particularly when mixed with the sweetness of elderflower tonic water, or lemonade should someone truly dislike all tonics.
As advocates for the entire gin industry we believe there are no right or wrong answers, only what a person likes. By continuing to develop new spirits of the highest quality, we hope to help as many people as possible to find their own way to enjoy a drink at gin o’clock.
